Will the soaring oil prices affect airlines in the long term?✈️

Oil prices have hit 14-year highs today, affecting airlines’ fuel. As fuel can account for up to 35% of airline operating costs and most of the airlines have been already battered by two years of COVID travel restrictions and uncertainty – will the high oil price have a lasting effect on the airlines, if so are any of the airlines particularly vulnerable?
